Thread: Colorizing Item Petition
Thought many of us merchants who rely on name recognition thru maker's marks and using color to help sell items would want to post on it.

I always seem to remember "maker's Marks" being an important part of this game and it just got axed.
A much better way to organise stock would be for us to be able to make our own categories on our vendors. Currently, colourising items on the Bazaar completely undermines the "premium sale" feature people have worked to achieve.
Premium sales are LAME and not wanting to allow people to colorize these horribly bland white text items is LAME!
BRING BACK TEXT COLORS OR MANY CRAFTERS WILL SIMPLY LOSE INTEREST IN MAKING FURNITURE AND OTHER ITEMS THAT MOST PLAYERS TRULY ENJOY!!!
What a load of crap....people crying for this nerf should be driven off a cliff!
Sorry, butcolored text for crafted itemsin no way undermined a merchant's ability to do premium sales.
Why? Because EVERYONE had the ability to do color text. Because of that, no one was at an advantage or disadvantage. A merchant could have color text AND a goofy, insignificant asterick by his item.
Right now, I can put a period at the beginning of my item title. Now when anyone at the bazaar sorts by item, all my stuff will sort to the top. Oh my God, do I have an unfair advantage? What should we do now, remove custom text altogether? ![]()
Instead, get rid of that laughable asterick. As if it has a chance in hell of getting someone to buy something by using it. Instead, do something that might actually make something a premium sale like putting all premium sales one the first page (for multiple pages) and let them be sorted at that top.
Also, why not let merchants have a text-based banner ad that could randomly display at the top of a bazaar window when it is refreshed?
Why not create ability to do things instead of destroying them.
Sheesh. ![]()

I am 110% for adding more categories, not self-made ones, but ones that match the current structure of the game. They have expanded the list, but I would like to see more, especially on the global advertising list.
The premium sales option can go away also, I would rather bark at a starport then waste my credits on that.
Otiamo
I'm really against ranged weapons. It's really annoying in PVP when I use melee weapons. In fact, I specifically ask people who attack me not to use them. I say everyone should use melee weapons.
<good natured sarcasm>
Sorry, but if you don't like them, don't buy them. But don't ask that people not have that option, just like I don't ask for ranged weapons to be removed from the game. Just like the post above me, simply ask your crafter before hand not to use it -- it's that simple... it WAS that simple... ![]()

Every "advantage" you speak of is useable by anyone with enough brains to do so. The premium sales are something people work to get.
I know, the premium sales are terrible, and need to be made much clearer, and above all other sales, regardless of alphanumeric ordering, but that is a solution to another problem.
Put me down as one of the people in the keep the color out of items camp. I think all those colors are hard to read. I think they create problems because the color strings don't end properly and the screw up my emails and make them hard to read. Not to mention that all those extra characters are probably not helping the vendor datbase much.
I realize crafters like them, and if they come back I"ll get used to them. But I really don't care for the colored item text. Of course I love the colored building signs.. *shrug*
I am a tailor and the only difference between my items is the color. SO if I have 10 of the same dress that are all different colors, it makes it quick and easy to see which is which if I can word my items like "Intricate Dress - Red - By Kopa". That way, if someone was looking for a particular item in a particular color they would be able to see that right away and save time from not having to go through all the items.
I realize that I can put the word "red" in there in regular text color, but it is just not as effective because it doesn't jump out from the page when you look at it.
Just my 2cr.

People should always put \#ffffff at the end of item names so that the rest of that object and resulting email will be in the correct white color. I do...or did...
I hope that every single person that wants color to stay out of created item text names has something they love dearly in the game ripped right out of their hands. I really hope for that.
