Since the recent Patch I know many if not all of us no longer are getting Merchant xp unless were logged on. Merchant Xp was moving slow enough at 650 and hour with 6 vendors out. not many professions,even novice ones get that little XP per hour if they tried. but I was ok with it being we still got the XP even if we were not online. this new bug in no good. so Please can we get some info or something saying when we can expect a fix. I effectively lost over 60k XP because I went to disneyland and did not stay at home starring in to a room with 6 NPC's that can not talk back(unless I have them bark random phrases).

I have still been getting my Merchant XP when offline.

Have you tried removing and resetting up all your vendors? I had to do that a few times when I got a new vendor or new box in Merchant, seemed like the vendors would stop giving XP.

I just recently moved all my vendors when I moved my shop into our new PC. I also picked up Eff 1 - 3 with the banked experience I had (was capped at 80k exp). THat left me with 20k exp, and the thought that I could grab Eff 4 in a couple of days. It's been at least 3 days and I now have just shy of 27k exp. I'm positive I'm not getting any vendor-based experience while offline, though I believe I still get some from the few sales I've seen. Having to move or replace my vendors may be a work-around, but it's certainly not the solution

I have 2 vendors and got 8500 xp while logged off for 20 hrs. The new server only gives XP after the vendor is loaded. The vendor loads when someone sees it and unloads when the server restarts. If no one sees your vendor on a day, then you wont get XP for it (You also wont get registered on the Map, but that is another story)

So basicly I have to sit in front of my vendor all the time to get xp. I pay 15$ a Month for sitting in front of a stupid vendor? They need to fix that otherwise this is even more stupid then the investigation tree.

Yeah I reissued 2 of my vendors and was getting some xp, but then they dissapeared for about 6 hours. They cam back this morning so we shall see. I am now and AFK Merchantier....

Yup only way to get xp now is to babysit your vendors. I stay logged in all day with a macro. This is horrible! Sometimes I ask my friend to logon and sit in front of my vendors so I can play a bit. They messed this up. I put in a ticket just to see the response from a csr. No answer yet.

Actually it apears that you only have to make the vendors enter the world and you get time xp whether anyone is there or not.

Ignore my last post. It looks like the vendor must be visisble (exist in the world). Is someways this is more realistic, but it also makes it harder for the Holocron crowd who are in a hurry and do not want to take the time. My recommendation is to get your vendor in a very popular place. Maybe a cantina in a PC.

If it is going to be soley based on use they should raise the xp granted for it. I don't think this is really an intended outcome I think it is an offshoot of the fix to keep the vendors on the map. And to keep adbarking working. I think they lumped code to check to make sure those things are on with the xp generation and that is causing the problem. Anything else would be a stealth nerf and we know they don't do that

Hmm, guess I've just been lucky not having to babysit mine then. I do have a pretty good customer base and sell out on pet stims and stuff pretty often. So I get traffic everyday also.

So can anyone answer this? If someone is on in the early am and clicks on your vendors then logs out, you log on late in the pm of the same day... will you get all the xp from the am until now? Or no?

Also, do I *have* to actually sit IN with the vendors while I'm online? Or can I log on, click on each of them, and then go off and do other things and get the xp for them while I'm online?

If true, it's pretty stupid. Especially considering you can macro your way to Master Image Designer in three days.Merchant XP is painful to gain, considering there's nothing you can actively do to increase the rate, other than placing and paying for yet another vendor.
