Thread: Dropping Merchant. Have a question.

Heya,
After nearly 2 years, I am finally hanging up my merchant shoes. My question is, if I give up merchant, how long before my vendors go poof?
Right away, or is it like the old days where once you placed one, it works forever?
I just dont want my stuff to get deleted on reset is all. I need time to move it elsewhere. Thanks!

i dropped merchant on an alt and moved it to another alt, and it took a month for the vendors to poof. might be less though, who knows

I've lost track. Depends on how long ago you stocked. Your existing stock stays in the vendor and it continues to operate normally except that you can't add merchandise to it. When that expires to the stock room you have 30 days before it goes away. Once your vendor is empty you get a message and the vendor is deleted if you don't put something in it within a week. (I think there is a week's delay in there somewhere too) Basically if you just stocked you have 2 months at least before the vendor vanishes.

Unless nobody accesses it in 2 weeks. Then it'll poof with no warning and delete all the items on it.

No. They changed that some time ago. The timer for that (no access) is now 100 days or something like that. Completely useless because it would have been deleted due to being empty within 75 days.
