For the devs to add some code to merchants to where if a vendor is advertised on the planetary map and is empty they are automatically removed from the planetary map?
This is my biggest pet peave in game right now. Wasted a couple hours yesterday looking for a good t21 rifle on tatooine on kauri. Visited every supposed weapon dealer on the planet (probably more than 30 spread evenly across tat) and id say a good 85% of the vendors were empty.
This pisses me off and should be pissed. I pay money to play this game, make it more convenient SOE.

I would love to see empty vendors...vanish. Not even going to think about all the time I have wasted driving from vendor to vendor.
Perhaps a "currently out of stock" tag on the planetary map?

well some people would leave a cdef gun for 1000000 in order to prevent it from happening. So it is tricky, I think they should do it with respect to restocking and stuff.

An even better solution would be to have Player Vendor itemsshow up on the Bazaar. Or, if you don't want to clutter up the Bazaar, have a special Player Vendorsearch terminal, which can be placed in player cities.
Back in Beta, player vendor items DID appear on the bazaar. It was taken out for database reason, if I recall. Has a Dev ever responded to inquiries to reinstate this feature?

Ture, but the problem is that all these Holo Merchants have left their venders up and registered. Even if a "Vendor out of Stock" tag were to eliminate 10% of the "empty" vendors from the planetary map, it would be an improvment.
Plus 30 days later, that 10000000 CDEF will go to the stock room. And most ex-holomerchants won't really care to re-post the item.

This may have been suggested by someone, but how about puttinga tag of (EMPTY) next to the vendor's description on the planetary map automatically when all items are sold off of the vendor - and have the game just concatenate (sp?) that part to the FRONT of the name so it's not cut off. We know that they don't "load" into the world until someone is near it, so have that happen the first time someone goes to it and finds it empty (sorry to thatfirst person! LOL). Simple, informative, and requires no money from any player nor the seller to do anything with the vendor (other than restock it to remove the tag). Once restocked and "reloaded" into the world, the tag goes away. How's that for saving time and money?
