i've looked on the boards but didnt see this yet.
Do you have to be logged in to get merchant xp from your vendors? If they run for a week without me logging in, do I still get that xp when i log in?

Yes. You will probably have to go visit your vendors to get them to load into the world but when they do they are supposed to catch up and give you all the xp they haven't given you yet. (They catch up whenever they are loaded so if someone has been in and caused them to load while you were offline you will already have the xp when you log in)

Also note that the frequency of the XP clumps depends on where you are at where you are logged it. I was on Dantoonie, land of the logged for 5 hours yesterday, not one update, I get back to Corellia, and bam 6 hours worth of Merchant XP.
