Vendors are much better but...

they still need more.

History:
They sure have improve vendors in the last couple of months.

They used to:
->Unregister themselves from the vendor list, every morning
->Expire sales after one week
->Stick items that purchased in the 'available items', not allowing them to withdraw them.
->Did not give money to the right people (either customer or merchant)
->Deleting items on sale past 15 days...

What they still need to do:
->When sorting items in the vendor, it should sort all pages, not just each page individually
(if you sort by price, all 8 pages should be sorted, showing you the most expensive or most inexpensive no the first page, etc)
->When items are offered to a vendor, it should email the owner of the vendor. (Right now it just displays a message on the screen.)
->When registering a vendor, there should be more option (ie Vehicles, etc)
->When running a mall, if someone places a vendor, you no longer get to control if they can have the vendor in there. If the vendor goes empty or doesn't play anymore, you now have an empty vendor... There should be some way to remove a vendor (maybe if it's empty) and you own the building
->Perhaps allow Image Design on vendors, to customize them (perhaps owner needs to be merchant level x)
->For me, the biggest: When placing factory crates of goods into a vendor, I want them to go into the category of their contents, rather than inside "misc->factory crates". The reason, if you are welling lets say power-ups, they all go into the same folder/area on the vendor. When examining the crate, it doesn't indicate if you are dealing with ranged or melee power-ups. Also, suppose you have one vendor, where you want to sell crates of A, B, C, D, E, F (...) and they are very different things, it would really help customers find what they want if they can use the built in organization features for vendors to find what they want.

What do you think?

Those are some really good ideas, you should post on the Merchant forums.

And I agree

  • Email each time someone offers something to the vendor would be nice

  • instead of being able to remove someone else's vendor if u run a mall if u could grant Admin rights to a vendor, even if you had to be a certain level in merchant would be better than nothing

  • definitely more organization in the sale lists would be nice

  • if you have ad-barking enabled that it didn't keep doing it if has shouted at me already

  • I dont know what happens when the maintenance on a vendor is low, but I hope it emails the owner.

Here is the one I WANT WANT WANT

  • Allow us to select a crate in our Inv and select 'Sell All Items Individually' at a certain price. If we had this I could stock my vendor 25 times quicker since I wouldn't have to remove each item from the crate and then list each one individuallly.

If they just had that one feature I would be a Merchant FOREVER.

I would like it if vendors instead of sending me an email every time an item sells, somehow arrange it where it sends me 1 emails for all items sold within a certain period of time.

id like to see...

  1. when an item is not sold and you get the 'not sold' email, i wish it would say where it did not sell at... i have venders all overand when 30 items dont sell, im clueless as to what venders of mine it is from.

  2. when i finally track down the vender that the items are nolonger for sale on, i have to retype the price in again... cant it remember the price that was on the item and give me some kinda way to place it back up for sale under the same price.

two ideas that would make my merchant life alot easier.

On the buying end, I would like to not have to retrieve my items after purchase

Nothing like cruising to Lok to buy something, then heading back home to use it... and not having it.

Or buying a harvester, then running out to place it, then finding out you forgot to retrieve it... and the merchant you bought it from destroyed their vendor.

Of course, maybe if I wasn't an idiot...

You forgot deleting vendors if the owner of the vendor does not currently have the skills to keep it.

Keep Merchant poachers to a minimum.

I'd like to see vendors have a "seller" permission so that a merchant can place a vendor in anyone's house (if given permission) and the merchant can then grant "seller" rights to that person and allow them to sell good as if it was there vendor.. With a % fee going to the merchant of course.

And I 100% agree with the crates..

Wow, lots of great ideas.

Is there a place that these should go to be seen by the people that make any of these changes, or would this be the place?

If I could grant admin rights to my vendor that would be AWESOME!!! Right now I have vendors on Talus and Naboo and it's a 30-45 minute trek to go from one to the other just to stock items. But I know tons of people on each of the planets that I would trust with admin rights.

Please implement this Dev's.
