Merchant Archive

Ok I took 4/0/0/0 in merchant, I advertised my vendor....now if I need to drop this skill will my vendor stay advertised? Another thing I was wondering about this, I am currently living on Rori, on the Flurry server, this planet seems to be pretty dead on activity.....how well does this advertising work for the rest of you folks? Thanks.....
