Thread: How exactly do I get merchant xp

So i know that placing an entry fee on the house gets me xp. But what about vendors? Can somone please explain in DETAIL. And also, does having multiple vendors effect the xp? Thanks

ok i read draznar's guide. And i have a questioin. He said that you get 150xp per hour per vendor that you own. I was wondering if you had to be ONLINE for the xp OR could you be OFFLINE and just have the xp accumulate? Thanks

all merchant exp accumulates offline and online. 150xp per hour per vendor, 50 exp per vendor view (once every 15 minutes per person) and 50 exp per entry fee paid.

I'm trying to get Merchant XP for Novice Merchant, I placed my first vendor I got from business III and I got about 450 merchant xp. That's all I've gotten since, can someone tell me why I'm not getting anymore?

because the merchant profession is bugged. Have a look at the "terminal vendor workaround" thread, maybe there is a solution there. Or it could be that no one has been near your vendor to load it into the world and make it give you the exp.

If you don't get the 150 xp / hour, pay your vendor maintenance.

I am almost to Novice Merchant and am slowly getting my 150xp/hour from my vendor but a Merchant buddy of mine says he is getting Merchant XP from people using his vendor and people buying his stuff off the Bazzar but I havent got any XP from those. Are those solely things you get once you actually GET Novice Merchant or am I getting screwed?

You only get merchant exp from people opening the vendor and viewing a page, and paying the door fee. Also there is the hourly thing but it appears you have to have someone actively sitting in your house for it to truly work.
