I have spent 7 months to develop my 1 vendor and to give my customers a selection. Whether Chef, Artisan, Weaponsmith or Armorsmith they can all find the items they need to craft on my vendor.

By limiting items I can hold you essentially destroy my business.

I dont want 6 vendors who hold 100 items. I want one vendor who can hold ALL my items.

What has taken a over a year for some players is now being torn down.. and the question remains... how does this propossed change enhance the game for the player base? I do not see any positive from vendor limits.

I stock over 2500 items.

The nerf destroys my business.

And that's the real issue at the heart of all this. There is no benefit for the players by imposing an item limit cap for vendors.

At Fan Fest when they mentioned the possibility of vendor caps, the room went cold. They said it was about database size and allowing new players to break into the market. My answer to that is improve your database and let the new players earn it the same way I had to earn it. It took a lot of time and energy and resources and work to get to where I am today. Why should a new player now be able to just jump right in and have the exact same as me? That sounds much colder than I mean it, but there is already enough of the "instant master" ideology out there as it is. There ARE things that lower level crafters can do to get a start....they just don't want to. They'd rather have the icing on the cake without baking the cake.

One of the things that bothers me the most about this is that there was no kind of notice from the devs in either the In-Development or even currently in the In-Testing forums about this. It got slammed on everyone when the publish 10 patch notes started to eek out into the community. A few months back they started a discussion to gauge player reaction to vendor item caps (which then was proposed at 150 items per vendor regardless of skill) and players stated how much they disliked it. There was no response from the devs about it after the initial posts. And now it gets put out there on test and left for the players to explode over while they take the weekend off (which convieniently gets them out of hearing the initial outrage from it). It's really poor and uninformed planning, bad customer service/relations, and will get a lot of players ready to hit cancel if they haven't already after the delay of the Combat Revamp and GCW Revamp.

As someone else stated....maybe they plan on reducing database strain by getting a lot of people to quit playing.
