To have other people place vendors in your house you need to do these things:

1) find people you trust

2) find people that will bring something new to your store (preferably if it relates such as tailor, chef, and BE)

3) talk to the person about your pet peeves or special conditions (e.g., only NPC vendors, yes or no to vendor bark, etc.)

4) I am sure this is what you were actually asking about -- put the person on Admin to your house so they can place their vendor.

To preface this next part, I am not an authority on selling resources but I do have resoruce vendor myself:

If you have a resource vendor have several quantities; not everyone can afford 100k of one resource. Look at the quality of the resource (if nothing if over 900, it is probably just grinding quality so charge 2-3 CPU for it). Then look at the rarity (www.swgcraft.com can help you) or specificity. For example, Lokian Wild Wheat is important for grinding medic so you can charge a bit more than generic wild wheat. Same is true for Tatooinian Fiberplast. So very high quality LWW would be worth maybe 10 CPU whereas low quality (grinding) LWW would be maybe 5 CPU.If you get something very rare (e.g., green diamond crystalline gemstone) sell it insmaller quantities and for more based on your server's economy.

Ok, so I dropped Chef. I just didn't like it. Leave me alone!

If you stick to your decision of becoming a Merchant, with time and a good name, referals will bring you a steady stream of clients. I getover 100people looking at my vendors every day and about 1 in 5 will buy something from them (I've been in the resource Biz for a year now.)

1. Sell small lots to accomodate the newer players on smaller budgets. Having 1k 2k and 10K lots available along with the100k lots will allow all players the chance to buy from you and remember, the small crafters buy small now, but as they grow, they remember where and whothey bought from.

2. Variety. Variety and more Variety. If someone advertises their "Droid Vendor" and all they have is 50 Seeker Droids, im not going back their in a week for a harvester droid because i've already labeled them in my mind for seeker droids. Make sure you label the vendor with what you sell.A vendor called " Vendor : Minerals " should have more than 5 - 100k lots of copper...

3. Keep your vendor well stocked. If i visit a vendor that is empty... i will never look at it again..period. i hate traveling for nothing and i hate it when vendors aren't maintained. I'm sure im not alone. Having an empty vendor can ruin your repuation and alienate potential clients for the rest of their stay on your server.

Other than that, be Honest, and consistent with the profession and you will enjoy it as i have for a year now.

Just a note. You can remove people from your house admin list after theyactivate their vendor in there and still manage the vendor(s) completely. Just an added security to protect any furnishings and or decorattions. They can even remove them if they want.
