Would just like a little enlightenment upon this subject, as I've heard you can get merchant xp for people being within a certain proximity of your vendor, just wondering if this works, and if so how?
Thanks

as far as i know, the only way to get merchant xp is to have a vendor operating, for someone to browse your vendor, and for someone to buy an item off your vendor.
I did hear something about not getting good merchant xp from having a vendor operating in your house, because when noone is in your house, the things in it go poof.
I hope that helps youa bit

If someone enters a house for the first time for the day, the vendor is officially in the world, which loads it and all the xp up on it. Now to a merchant, this would cause what looks like a "lump sum" of xp their reciving at once .. when in reality .. it's what their vendor has collected thus far that day. Simply being near a vendor does not give you xp. You need to actually look at the vendor .. (double click it and click the all catagory) every 15 minutes to get xp .. besides from the xp that the vendors give you on their own.
Hope that helped
