Saturday, from my ~130 items/resources I used tohave in the stockroom of my vendor, only 37 remained. In other words: More than 100 items had vanished. I wrote a ticket, and a CSR answered (quote):
Greetings Sedana! This is CSRjohng. Thank you for submitting a ticket. I'm sorry you are having trouble with your Vendor. Vendors are not meant to be used as storage. Therefore, any item that has been for sale for over thirty days will be moved to the stockroom. Any item that has been left in a Vendor's stockroom for more than seven days will be deleted. Unfortunately, CSR's do not currently have the power to replace items lost in this manner. I am sorry for your loss. If you have any further questions or comments, please use the Add Comments feature ... etc
Iadded severeal comments (I was furios) and was contacted by another CSR, who confirmed that I would not get my items back and thatthe deletion-rulehad been made public around december/january.
What shocked me besides the fact that I will be out of business for weeks without those rare HQ resources was the statement, that all items that remain more than 7 days in the stockroom will be deleted. I never heard about such thing, but maybe I missed something. I would never put my valuable resources into a place that is as dangerous. I am completely puzzled as those items had been in there for weeks, maybe months, and nothing had happened to them. Which indicates that that deletion-thingy does not seem to work properly.
Does anyone know more about that ?

The stockroom retention has always been 7 days by rule. It sometimes stays longer depending on how the items get into the stock room but you are living on borrowed time after 7 days.
There is a Knowledge base article that tells you you only have 7 days and usually if you examine the details of items in the stock room they will have a timer on them just like the for sale items do telling you how much longer they have until they "expire"
The only thing I can suggest (assuming they aren't going to give us more time in the stock room - which is a much larger issue) is that the email telling us that the item didn't sell state that the item will be removed in 7 days.

I am sure only a few poeple know about this, and an addition to the email as proposed by Doc would certainly make people aware what they are doing. good idea

You gotta ask yourself sometimes... why do you need THAT much storage space? If you own so many items that you have to store them in a vendor, don't you think it's about time to start a garage sale of some sort? Sell all the crap you've been carrying all this time that you don't really need but think you do? ![]()
