Thread: Merchant Question: What can you sell?

I have a question: I have an artisan-in-training, and I am considering Master Merchant to sell my wares. My wares, however, will be elite-type items: spices from the smuggler tree and tissue engineering items from the bio-engineer tree. I don't plan to sell weapons, general items, or anything else for that matter. My questions is, can a merchant just sell certain things like this, assuming that I have enough to sell? That is, can I choose to be a merchant specializing in only these 'elite' items?

Thanks for your help...

Yes, you can sell anything you want. Once you reach Buisness III you get the ability to place a vending machine inside a building that you own or that you are administrator of (I'm already at that level, just waiting for the building hehe). Then you can upload anything you want from your inventory. In Beta I had mine filled with foraged foods and stim packs for newbies at a very low cost, mostly just to see how the system worked.

*Ideally* there are a few benefits to doing this. #1 is that you don't have to pay fee for posting an item on the general bazaar. Also your item should show up on the general bazaar, with the location given to the buyer (your house must be open to the public of course). You can sell anything...you can have a clothing store, sell meds, armor, or anything you desire.

Having a terminal up gives you merchant XP, which at the moment is ungodly slow so don't expect to zoom up that tree soon. But as an artisan with some buisness skills, you can place your vendor and start your buisness!!

Just about everthing, but jedi sabers.

I Quote: "You will likely not see many (if any) Jedi in game for a long time (likely months). We're not kidding. Jedi are rare in this time period (between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back). Becoming a Jedi and surviving as a Jedi is very very very very difficult (and rewarding) in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided."
