Until a few days ago, vendors would dump stuff into the stockroom every 7 days, requiring the owner to relist it on the vendor. If you put everything up on your vendor at once, and then 7 days later you got'auction unsuccessful' messages for everything that was on your vendor, then your vendor moved everything into the stockroom. If, after 72 hour, you fail to relist the item in the stockroom, the item is destroyed.

Now, there's a rumor that this 7 day limit is now a 30-day limit, but I'm unsure if this has been implemented yet.

There is a VENDOR-STEAL bug out there right now from what I hear. Personally I don't know how its done but if I were you, I would take everything off your vendors right now until its confirmed a fake or its fixed.

The 30 day thing is for a future update it hasn't been implemented on live yet.

Anymore info on this, so I can raise the issue?

I would also like to know more if this bug is real, but I have to say at least one thing.

I've been a merchant for a long time, and get used to how I race through the interface daily to re-list items, etc. Because of this, on occasion, I do something VERY very stupid. I forget that recently I was looking at another vendor or the bazaar and was using the filters to list only specific things.

Now, I KNOW that when I do this, the same filter will be set when I open the next vendor, including my own, but for some reason on very rare occasions I completely forget this. Then I hyperventilate for about 3 minutes, start ranting at anyone within earshot, and have even once sent a bug report. Then, of course, 5 minutes later I realize that I don't have my vendor set to list "ALL" items and I feel stupid and embarrased.

Luckily for me, feeling stupid and embarrassed is a natural state of affairs.

Funny that you should mention that. I have noticed my stock decreaseing on some of my higher priced items, but not my bank increasing. Unfortunately I am also being hit with the email bugg so i do not recieve emails. I cant remember the exact circumstance's but the other night someone did something thing in my shop what brought the question of a vendor-stealing exploit to mind. I wish i could remember what it was and had investigated futher but i was in the process of logging. Hopefully it was all just my imagination.

Is that the extract bug they hotfixed today?

All my vendors have been stripped of everything they were selling.

1. Is there some bug/exploit that allows hoodlums to steal from vendors?

2. Do items simply disappear after patches?

I remember getting a couple "Auction unsuccessful" messages but didn't expect every **edit** thing from every vendor to disappear.

I was clueless about that one what does /extract do?
