I recently had a guildmate, who admittedly didnt closely watch their upkeep, lose the vendor and all the stock on it. I would have expected a warning email about the degrading status of the vendor but none was received. Are the devs currently trying to implement this just like the email warnings that structures give? I certainly hope so.

Actually, they're making it so that vendors don't poof when they get low on maintenance at all. They just stop letting you post new items on them.
