Howdy folks. Just dabbling in merchant here.. Novice and Hiring 1 I think.. and two levels of Barking. I've got a problem, and I've read a bit on here, but not every post =)

My ad barking would stop and start at random, and every time I logged. So I wanted to re-enable it on a vendor who had shut up. I hit the radial and hit Disable Barking (since you have to do this seemingly twice to fully turn off your non-functioning feature) and went to re-enable it. Little lag here, little error in mouse placement there, and presto! I've removed a vendor. No warning, nothing. The vendor just poofed, along with the (thankfully very few though very valuable) items on it. If I go to my other vendor, I can see these items in the store room.. they're just in a different invisible storeroom I guess.

Is there any way to access these items yet? Have the Movers and Shakers out here bitched up a storm about no confirmation dialog for deleting a loaded vendor?

Also, I noticed some posts regarding maintenance, and I remember reading that sales go into the vendor, as maintenance money, and can be removed like a guild treasury. Might have been the coming patch. But either way, when I sell things the money goes right to my bank account. Also, I have like 2k on my merchant and that puts me at some huge number of days left. Probably have my first instance of a favorable bug =)

So is this how it's supposed to work?
And can I do anything about my lost items?
