Thread: Question regarding # of items

The vendor item limits are per vendor, not per total vendors, correct? It's what it says on the abilities tree, but I have 44x4 Merchant and when I went to put an item up for sale on a vendor with only 387 items today, it said I had too many items. Is this a known bug? Is there any workaround?

Vendor item limits are total items across all vendors.

Items in packs count against this limit.

Then they need to change the description on the skill sheet under Vendor Item Limit which states:

This skill mod determines how many items a merchant may sell on *EACH* vendor (emphasis mine) followed by a number in the next column. It would make a great deal more sense if as you describe the item limits, that they would change the description to "determines how many items a merchant may sell across all vendors".

Unless this is actually a huge bug and is not working as intended.

I suggest filing an in-game bug report about it.

I would have to see the exact wording, but it sounds like it's a leftover from when the item limit was indeed supposed to be *each* vendor but that got changed before it went live.

I can assure you that the current item limits are working as intended.

The original "each" limit would have limited Master Merchants to 6 total vendors with a limit of 110 items on *each* vendor.

We went right up until the final build on TC for this feature (*cough* nerf *cough*) with it being per vendor. I had to practically break TH's arm via emails to get him to go back to the developers and get them to make it global. That was a fun week. I think he told me to shut up about global item limits twice that week

I remember that all too well.
That was the closest I've ever come to quitting the game altogether.

Probably the closest I've ever come to getting banned from the forums as well.

It's the"-" character in the webdings font. -

I saw so many people adding the line "I support blah blah blah..." to their sigs that I wanted to support something too, and I've always felt that the best people to support are the ones that give me things.
