Thread: how do you use a barker droid?
Just make sure you don't launch into space once you are set up, that's the main issue bring up!
Past that, if you are certified for this, just get a DE to make a droid with the Barker Module for you and call him where you want him to be. Tell the droid to stay, set up the text you want barked, supply the waypoint for him to hand out and then turn him on. This will stop when he runs out of batteries so be sure to check back often to make sure he's on.
Again, DO NOT launch into space as this will autostore the droid and pretty much waste the work you just did.
That would explain why he is always AWOL when I come back. Great, another useless skill for merchants. So now we can both spam the same starport....

Well, it was my understanding that you had to actually launch for this bug. The main issue is with how the droid aspect of JTL works. If you take the shuttle, it was not supposed to do this. It's been a while since I fired up the Barker... I'll have to try this out later today. If you shuttle (even from planet to planet) then you should be ok. If not, this is yet another bug for us to deal with.
Using the traditional transport will not cause your droid to store.
This is listed in the Top Issues.
I saw a barker droid in Coronet the other day that said: "Hey buddy, those pants make you look fat."
