You know I truely think if folks would use the ingame mechanics without trying to be the spambot the community would benifit more
People still spatial flood advertisements, instead of leaving it in auc
when in auc they spam the chanel instead of setting a nice 3 or 4 min delay
Barker droids get let on the side and forgotten, people forget to use ctrl+v and see what is listed.
Sure there is plenty I would like to see added, but let's be honest, people would intentionally misuse or ignore them to.

I was reading through a thread on the Scylla forums about this guy who ripped people off by selling things in backpacks and then refusing to pay them back....... anyways, I came up with an idea for the merchant barker droids....... Could even make it a command for people if you didn't have a barker droid.......
Instead of Merchant Barker Droids shouting their wares into the spacial chat, what if they added a "merchant" tab to the chat window, all merchant barker ads would go here as well as player shouted ads using say /merchant instead of /shout. These ads would show up as a chat bubble, but the "spam" advertisement would not be added to the spacial window. This would allow someone interested in buying the wares they saw in the chat bubble to just click the "merchant" tab and scroll up.
The other idea I had was perhaps to have the advertisement only show up one time in the merchant tab, since people would not be able to "spam" your advertisement into the back corner so to speak, it would not be a problem and would make the selling of wares to be a bit easier to find a particular sale. Naturally this would have to be limited to say once every time your avatar came inrange of the advertisement, or perhaps once every 5 minutes or something like that.
I don't know what it would take to impliment, but I think it would make the game alot better in those heavily advertised areas like Coronet. Sometimes the spacial flies by so fast it's difficult to read tells..... I know we have an Auction channel, perhaps the ads can go there??
