This post is not about faction armor.
This post is not about faction armor.
This post is not....
I put a full set of composite on a vendor for them to wear, they said 'thanks boss!' like a good lackey whose life depends on my whims, and I went on my way.
Next day I was talking with some guildmates and they thought I was a pervert for some reason. Couldn't figure it out until I noticed that my female vendors were wearing all of their armor sans pants.
Doh!
I filed a ticket, thought about how long it would take to get a response and the response I would actually get 'thank you, please file a bug report, sorry for inconvenience, ticket closed' so I deleted the ticket and just bought more armor leggings. Put them on the vendors, told them to stay out of the brandy this time, and went on my merry way.
Doh!
Next day they were gone again. I did file a ticket this time, and I have to admit I was very surprised. I think i've written about a dozen tickets without having a reply that was on-topic and helpful in any way, but I received a reply post from a csr who looked into it. After swapping comments back and forth over the next few days I was told that this couldn't be fixed - items put in vendors for sale leave a track to follow, but items placed on vendors to wear do not.
So I have a guildhall with a half dozen half-naked vendors. I'm thinking about putting them all in revealing tops, giving them slave collars, putting in a jukebox, placing holograms for a nice soft blue light, lots of beds and divans, free brandy and a $20,000 cover charge....
Bugs happen. Bugs are what the devs work on, not csrs. But when you go through ticket after ticket without even a reply other than the stock generic response it's more frustrating than the bug in the first place. I've been a developer, scripter, csr in Neverwinter and csrs have tools and options that players don't have. Not as many as the devs have, true - but I can't help but think that if they posted somewhere what they actually COULD do, it would chop their ticket load by 3/4...
I don't mind a response from a human being via tell or comment saying that it isn't in their power. But at least then i'm treated as a human and not account # 188211.
Got off topic a bit, sorry about that.

I'm just glad that this is SWG and not Neverwinter. One of the script changes that is common there is to have characters be anatomically correct instead of wearing boxers....
Of course there I could have poked around the scripts, tracked down the bug, and had it fixed inside of an hour. ![]()

Of course the real story here is the opressive boss who demans his employees stand around all day wearing armor leggings! When they dare take them off for a little cool down period he files complaints with the employment board!!!

Umm.....
Okay, but only drink one crate of brandy per night or you'll start incurring the wrath of the twi'lek cantina dancers...

Hmm.. weird bug. all i can suggest is to like put actual pants by placing them on the ground and moving them onto them. In fact, i volunteer to come after hours to your shop and install the pants on the femalevendors personally. Free of charge!

Be sure to /bug it, too, not just do a regular ticket. One team gets tickets, another team gets /bugs, and all the second team does is work on bugs.

Of course. Common sense, since bugs get fixed quicker than tickets get answered.
