Is it possible to put an item on vendor and reserve it for a specific customer? For example say I have an order for John Doecan i throw it on vendor for 1 credit and restrict the sale to John Doe only?

Unfortunately, that can't be done right now. You will either have to meet up with your customer, or place the item(s) in a backpack (with their name on it), and list it on your vendor.

thanks for your quick reply, but just naming the backpack can still allow others to purchase correct?

Yup anyone can purchase and you would only be able to ask for it back and ban them as consequence of that action as everything on a vendor is for sell to anyone.

What I've done in the past, is place a coke machine in the basement of my house or guild hall. Since those don't show up on the map like npc vendors, they're less likely to be found. I still wouldn't list items at 1 credit there, however. You can always list a reasonable price to deter those people who happen to stumble upon it, and simply refund the money to your friend or customer after they receive the item.

Another way is to set up vendor in a house that isn't your normal shop. Then set a 50k entrance fee, and add your customer to the entrance list. Everyone but your customer will have to pay 50k to come into the house, so you're unlikely to get random people browsing your vendor.
It doesn't hurt to put the vendor in an out of the way place - either the basement or upper floor. You might even set up a decoy vendor on the main floor if you're still worried. Once your customer has bought the item, remove him from the building's entrance list.
Also make sure this vendor isn't search enabled or listed on the planetary map.
