The devs have removed the Combat Professions need for pretty much any downtime, by making most items just not really necessary ( or bugging them to the point of uselessness). Why have they not been as attentive to our very much unfun and undesired 30 day relist issues?
It doesn't make any sense that stuff magically moves from the shelf to the stockroom after 30days. You sure don't see wal mart take everything off the shelf every 30 days take it back to the stockroom, then take everything back from the stockroom to the shelves and put them back the way they were. It makes no sense. They moved to a new database some number of publishes ago, this is no longer needed.

I could not agree more - especially since today is my official "Everything fell of my vendor day"
So instead of hunting I will now spend the next few hours restocking 3000+ items
I very much HATE this part of the game.

I would be happy with a replace button for items in the storeroom which would replace items to the vendor sales at the price it was when it fell off. This way, SWG could keep the 30 day timer, but we could replace items just by pressing a single button instead of spending an entire day doing it. Make it a 5 minute chore instead of the 2 - 3 hour chore I currently have. Just a thought.

You asked for the reason so here it is.
I have 2 accounts. Both accounts have Jedi unlocks. I have a Jedi Knight anda combat toon on one account and this account is what you see in the sig.
So lets say items stay stocked indefinitely. I could activate my crafting account and spend 2 weeks crafting and stock my vendors enough to last 3 months or more. Then I can cancel that account and let it ride for a few months while I play on my alt acount. Vendors get low, reactivate and craft. Transfer credits made to my alt account and cancel again for a few months. This would reduce the revenue brought in from subscriptions, which I doubt sony would allow.

BTW there is a fix for it. If your account goes inactive, everything goes to the stockroom and is deleted after 30 days. I dont mind the way it is now because i remember the days of weekly stock-fests. This would be nice but I would much rather them fix the stats bug that is currently game-breaking for many players

I hadn't thought of that, but really as you say in another post, the simplest solution would be just to deleted the vendors of any cancelled account immediately upon cancellation, would also save database space.
