Many crafters do not live in Player Cities. We have other characters that are involved in the Galatic Civil War. We would prefer to not have a faction, either Rebel or Imperial using our weapons or armor to fight against our other characters.

Would it be possible to do either or all of the following?

1) Ban all Overt and Covert Faction members, either Rebel or Imperial, from your house and vendors.

2) Ban an entire Guild from your house and vendors.

3) ATLEAST raise the house ban limit to something more than 30 players

We've asked for a larger set of restrictions and permissions system for houses. Doc's still waiting on a reply. I'm pretty sure that by-guild and by-faction are in there, and not only as permission functions but for an abillity to discount merchandise based on faction affiliation/guild affiliation.

Yea we have asked for directed sales and discount sales stuff, but I Don't think it included banning anyone. While you can't currently ban an entire faction you can ban their guild if they are guilded. I think the PA Correspondant is pursuing simular ban changes for structures. I'll throw it out there. There may be some technical limitation about banning by faction that I'm not aware of.

To my knowledge, ban guild:-XYZ- doesn't work correctly, you can put it in there, but it has no effect.

Thatwould be news because I tested this some time ago and was able to ban guilds from the structure. I tested it by banning the guild of two people standing in my shop at the time.. they were immediately ejected. I'll test it again this weekend..be sure that the people you ban are not also on the Admin list becuse you can't ban the admins of a structure.

I was thinking about the factional banning as well. I like the idea of being able to ban overts. But banning coverts seem a little strange because your house would effectivly be a covert factional scanner.

Yes I agree. There shouldn't be any way to know they are imperial if they are not overt for that you have to have a factional scanner nearby.
