It’s a valid concern. The new experimentation will hurt most all crafters as I understand it. Right now with 10 points of experimentation, you can usually max out experimentation in one field and have 1 or 2 points left over to use elsewhere.
With the new change, it will limit experimentation based on material quality. Therefor, with 900 scores on a material, all 10 exp. points will get you exactly to 90% experimental effectiveness (full bar for your resource). No points left over for other fields.
This gets worse if you have material with only 600 scores. Then with all 10 exp points, you will only reach 60% experimentation (full bar for this resource).
With the current system, you would most likely be able to get to 60% experimentation using 6 or 7 points, and have extras to use in other fields.
It’s basically a crafting nerf for all crafters who use experimentation to effect the final outcome of their product. It will mostly effect armorsmiths, Chefs, Doctors, SM and weaponsmiths as these professions have multiple experimentation fields that they can experiment on.
