this is a fun idea
Ok what if some of the player cities actually have "souvineers" or "keep sakes" that are unique to each town. Souvineers can include a piece of loot, a piece of furnature, an article of clothing, or anything else you can come up with they have have to be custom - at the very least they need to have a unique name.
Local vendors in town can sell these items and if the idea picks up any, visitors can by the items and start a collection.
I'm hoping this would be a good advertising tool for cities and would open up new oppertunities for "scavenger hunts"
And if you live on Flurry and want to participate I may start sovineer related contests in the future...

Maybe a picture of the city so they are truly unique.
Perhaps the mayor could create the schematic from a screenshot, encouraging residents to come up with the most artistic (or amusing) pic for their city.

Yep I have had a souvenir vendor up for about 6 months. City is named Helios on Tatooine.
A few T-Shirts:
"Take me down to Helios City where the grass all died but the girls are pretty."
"I went to Helios and all I could afford was this lousy T-Shirt"
"Official Helios T-shirt (1% Natural Fibers!)"
And many others including:
Helios Dry Lake Fishing poles - Which sell very often and I don't know why.
Sea Monkey Aqarium, Helios Dry Lake - I made a factory run of ranged stims for the graphic.
I several Survey Tools for "Jundland Juke Joints, Greatest Hits" Looks like a portable radio. And "Helios Party Pictures" as well as a "Miss Galaxy Contest Winners & Helios Ampetheatre."
There’s a DE item that looks like the Death Star Fragment so I made some "Broken Hills Fragment" the name of our town before player cities.
We use a visitor center across from the shuttle port with a map on the floor of the city. One vendor holds max costs items that have descriptions with each shops waypoint and information about the city. The souvenir vendor is in there.
The most popular items are single stacks of droid batteries and vehicle customization kits of course. The rest of the souvenirs usually go into someone’s house deco.

A word of caution only make 1 or 2 crates of each item at first, none of these items sells exceptionally well but they do add to the flavor and feel of the city.

Those are wonderful, creative ideas. I would love to hear more.
I had encouraged our tailor to do some T-shirts, but he never did.
On my own, I came up with fireworks show packages (full of 20 fireworks) and named them all Copia Fireworks Show Package. Course thats not really a souvegnir, since it would get consumed on use, but they were very, very popular and sold more than I could ever endure putting together. They take a loooooong time to make just one.

my guild leader has been selling city souvineers since before player cities had shuttleports and you had to ride your critters out there
currently her souvineers are available in the merchant tent next to the shuttleport in Talon, Corellia, Tempest
