Okay I'd like to say today's miniupdate that lets you see the amount of time remaining for an item in the sell tab and stockroom tab is a great small enhancement. One we've wanted a long time. This I think will greatly enhance our roles as merchants. /kudos for devs getting this done.
Also on the TC there are reports that furniture items like armoires, chests, cabinets, bookcases can actually hold items. If this is the case this could be a step towards the item storage solution everyone has been looking for. It is also one that I fully support. I have no trouble supporting my Architect friends for extra item storage

It's not extra storage though. Just a new function added to furniture so it can be used as a container. Items stored in them still count towards the house item limits for storage.

Are you sure it STILL counts? I've been moving items to a new house, and I ended up with around 70 resources in the hopper of a crafting station (they're much easier to handle there or in a different type of container) and checked the number of items in the house ... it was in the mid-20s!

That is a bug. And one that will be fixed eventually.

Bummer....I would warn anyone though to never pick up a crafting station with anything in the hopper...it causes an irretrevable bug that prevents you from ever using he hopper on that crafting station again
.
Had that happen to me
I really wish they would not let the items inside cabinets, armoires, and such count against the house limit. I have no idea how many items they are allowing in each. But it would be an easy way to help out pretty much everyone. A limit of perhaps 2 such items of furniture per lot used in the structure could keep it from becoming to much of a pain.
