Thread: Logged in after 2 days: 2 VENDORS MISSING, both stocked, both with 25 days of rent left.

I just logged in to check on some harvesters and see how my little shop is doing. Apparently, it wasn't doing well enough. I had two vendors in the front room, one for ranged weapons, and one for melee weapons. The ranged weapon vendor had over a dozen items in stock; a few guns that I could make with quality components. The melee weapon vendor had probably 200 items in stock, because I could make advanced components for all of those. Both vendors had at least 25 days of maintenance left in them, because I had 4 vendors in the house, all with the same maintenance requirements, and I paid them all the same to keep them organized; the other two vendors are still in-game and have about 27 days of maintenance left. I received absolutely NO notice about any problems with these two vendors; the last email I received was from myself, containing harvester placement and time/power/maintenance information.

Why did my two most important vendors vanish with all of their stock? Why did I not receive ANY notification of any problems with said vendors? WHY CAN'T I SUBMIT A CUSTOMER SERVICE TICKET WITHOUT DOING A WORTHLESS SEARCH FIRST?!?!? That damn search has actually crashed my game before. I want to send a damn ticket, not waste my time searching for nothing before I can hit the "Submit Ticket" button!!!

Oh well, this weaponsmith/merchant had become a side project anyway. With my vendors disappearing and taking all of their stock with them, I'll feel easier about closing down the little shop and leaving it to rot. I'll probably still log in frequently to check on resource spawns, because I'm still waiting for some rare resources used in advanced blaster components, but otherwise, I just won't bother trying to run vendors anymore. I thought we only had to worry about deleted property on Test Center...

Vendors are deleted if they have been abandoned for 2 weeks, the problem is know one (aside from SOE who I hop knows, but they are not saying anything) knows for sure what qualifies as "abandoned".
I am guessing that you vendors was counted as abandoned and thus deleted.

I was hoping that maybe, just maybe, that this wasn't going to happen. But it's been about two weeks... and now posts are popping up herewith people complaining thattheir non-empty vendors were deleted.

/sigh

Silence on this issue while that completely undefined abandoned timer is counting down is not right.

I have had to relist items from the stockroom since this patch went into effect. The vendors have sold items since the patch went into effect. Both vendors had at least 25 days worth of maintenance left in them; I *know* this because I paid all four vendors the same amount (all four were registered on the overhead map and had the exact same maintenance requirements), and sent myself an email telling me when I paid the maintenance and how much I put in. There is absolutely no reason that my melee weapons vendor and my ranged weapons vendor, who were both moving items much more frequently, were removed, while my powerups vendor and my slicing tool vendor, who were only used on occasion, remain.

It doesn't really matter to me anyway. This wasn't the character I usually play, or the server I usually play; it was a side project that I was running, checking in every other day or so for resource shifts and such. This vanishing vendor fiasco was a deal-breaker for me, because it was already more of a hassle than I wanted, so this just made it easier for me to shut it down.

The problem is, I only lost a little and they were all mundane factory-run items, but if this happens to some of the big-name crafters, they're going to lose BILLIONS of priceless irreplaceable items.
