I'm here on Ahazi, looking for a merchant and all I find is an AFK one spamming something in Coronet, but don't know what since I have my afk filter on. Anyway, its good that the Merchant Profession has gotten the love it needed apparently. However, now that you have gotten part of what you had asked for, you should make yourselves more available. Lets face it, a lot of crafterswho didn't have merchant or maybe just had up to Business 3 are probably going to give in since they can no longer sell stuff like they used to and are going to need the services of a Merchant.
You say you don't wantMerchant to be a 'throw away' profession, and that's fine. However, now you should try to make your availability known to continue to makeit an important profession in the game. Just a thought.

I'm a merchant on Wanderhome. I've tried to drum up buisiness in my local area, after all I only have 4 vendors and 1500 items right now ( and I'm a Master Merchant ). I have found noone willing to enter into any arrangement. I was offering 10% to 20% consignment offers. But with the clumsy mechanisms for it, all I can do is forward the sales gmails to the crafter and then tip them the money when we meet in game.
One I approached decided to drop some of his combat and take up merchant, another person bought a second account so that they could have a merchant, others just didn't respond.
The problem is that the system won't work until there is a reliable consignment feature on vendors, where the merchant can have a certain percentage go to himself and the balance of the sale forwarded to the crafter. There is so little trust it seems that it is almost to diffulcult to be a merchant.
I only have one account, can't really afford another.
