If you had the chance to make a modest amount of profits by being a "merchant", would you do it?
Merchant stands, very much alike the ones you see on Tatooine, but this would require you to be activly "selling".
1) you would have the ability to rename items (only in the duration of it being in your merchant stand, and you can sell them for wichever price you want.
Selling
1)E11 rifles 2)Brandy 3)Majori Mellon
stats xxxx stats xxxx stats xxxx
[x] In stock 12
Buy Amount [ 3 ]
Any purchase made would be on a list, and it would be the job of the merchant to make the final transaction by handing the materials over (not trade window, but another UI less clumsy and linked to the merchant stand) with the required money. (No afk selling whatsoever)
(I apologise if the example I showed was a bit too crude)
Would you play a "merchant" and sell if this system was available?

what???? Say again. All I'm asking for is a "restock all" button. That's all I really ask for.

Probably not, because I expect it to involve hours of standing around.
To me something like a camp kit with an NPC vendor would be better, i.e. deploy it and load up with max 20 items much like a normal vendor, after 1hr it 'poofs' and unsold items return to my inventry.
It works for me because:
1) I can choose to man it personally or go off and do other things (like crafting, doing dealsor harvesters)
2) Being able to drop 1 in every major city would really help sales.
3) Architects would have another line of business selling 'disposable' structures in crates.
Vendor droids could meet the same need, but to really work we would need to deploy more than one at a time. The compromise here could be that they cannot move or bark, and we have a limit of 1 per city.
