I trained Hiring IV last night, and was dissappointed with the still limited vendor selection. I only noticed 1 new droid and 1 new terminal type vendor. I didn't see any new NPC vendor types. In my opinion, there's not much to yearn for after Hiring II, where all the nice NPC types are added. Terminal types don't bark advertising obviously, and the droid types won't rotate, so it's NPCs all the way for me. Is there some benefit to Hiring IV that I have overlooked?

Only other thing that i see is that it gives you the ability to choose what the vendor wears. You can hand them a piece of clothing and they will wear it; however, you cannot get that clothing back.

You can rotate droids using the command /rotate right/left 1-180
The big thing about Hiring IV is vendor customization. You are supposed to be able to drop clothes and weapons onto your vendor and he/she is supposed to wear them. However, they DON'T equip any clothing, they just thank you for it and stand there.
You're right, I didn't see what the point to Hiring III was, and with Hiring IV bugged its all kinda useless.

I thought hiring III was supposed to give the clothing customization, as it is called Uniforms. Some of my vendors, which happen to be playable races, can wear clothing without problems. But again...if you don't like the look, you don't get the clothing back. With the non-playable races, the clothes simply don't fit, so the existing clothing shows throw, or the clothes look ripped. Hiring IV seems like a lot of work for only 2 vendor types. There must be something else to this skill that I'm missing.

I have Hiring II, and when I tried to drag some clothing onto my NPC vendors, they gave me some guff about not wanting to wear those clothes! I only tried a few items, then gave up (as I'm nearly about to do for the whole darned Merchant Profession!)
