Has anybody seen comments by the devs as to when this may be fixed? I'd like to place vendors in a friends house.

Any word on admin access to houses ?

I got the distinct impression from Holocron that it wasn't something they could hot fix so you are looking at the monthly update cycle and my understanding is that the current up date is about to go to the test server. If that fix isn't in yet (and I haven't heard that it is and Holo seemed unaware of the problem until a few days ago *shrug*) then it isn't looking good for that to be fixed for another month. But they could figure a way to hotfix it..

When Holo retured from his trip and started his "hey there" thread, he replied directly to me on this question. He told me there was no ETA on this because, while they realize they nerfed us on the vendor trading thing, the merchant bug issues weren't of as high a priority as other things for them to work on, and there was no ETA.

This was an issue in beta. The PA hall never has vendor premissions working correctly. Several testers /bugged it. If the developersdid not know of this problem... it was because they did not read our bug reports.

I have seen this bug in game for several months now.... in beta and in the final game.

Does anyone know of a workaround? I need to get a vendor in a friends house?

Let me lend my thoughts on this.

Have your friend lay down the house, than /transferstructure to you.
Or have him give you the deed and you lay it yourself
Get the vendor up and running.
/transferstructure back to him/her
the vendor remains yours .. the merchant XP is yours.
the house is theirs.

I BELIEVE that is the correct command, If not, I will repost .

The /transferstructure (name) command DOES work, but there are a few issues:

i) The merchant you are transferring to must have enough lots remaining; easy with a small house (2 lots), not so easy with a large (5 lots). We have not even considered attempting it with our PA Hall (9 lots).

ii) You must trust that merchant 110%, for they actually have full control over your house and all that is in it until they /transferstructure it back.

iii) In our Large at least, we have a recurring issue with the Building Management Terminal periodically disappearing for a day or two at a time. You cannot create new vendors without it, hehe.

We tried this techniquewith TCON buildings yesterday. I had butterflies when we experimented first with my small house, and I broke out in a sweat when we followed up our success with a transfer of the TCON Body & Soul, which was full of other vendors, items and lots of customers at the time. However, it worked flawlessly, the vendor was placed by a trusted TCON Merchant, and the building was transferred back to me without the slightest hitch.

The only workaround was taken away a few days ago when they made vendors un-tradeable.
