Thread: Vendor sales revenue going into maintenance pool
Someone bought a scout blaster for 4500 and a DLT20 rifle ten seconds later for 4000 from my vendor. The 4500 went into the vendor's maintenance pool, the 4000 went to my bank.
I cannot find any specific cause for this - had someone buy an item for 100 using cash on hand, payment went to my bank. If he bought an item for 100 using cash from the bank, the payment also went to my bank. Other people with vendors have noticed this too (our armorsmith has 14k in his maint pool) but no one has any ideas as to what might be causing it.
THIS IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING.
Annoying is an understatement. Sold a small house, 4 scout blasters, 2 DLT20a rifles and 2 DH17 Carbines today. Want to guess what my maint pool is at right now?
30,000 credits.
So not only do I not have that money to use on what I want, I can't even get it back by removing the merchant which means I can't upgrade my little bartender bot. Real spiffy.
I sold six guns for 4000-5000 credits each today, and none of it went into maintenance pool. Maybe it was stealth-fixed this morning, or maybe I was just lucky.
sold one house and 2 pieces of furniture, profit from one piece went into my bank, profit from the house and the other piece went to maintenance
it's annoying because I needed that house profit to maintain extractors
so right now I'm dead broke, meanwhile my vendor is pre-paid for a month

My guess is that people paying with cash will cause it to go to the maintenance, while people who pay via the bank only will make it go to the merchant's bank. That's a reasonable explination, right?
I tested that - had a friend give me all their money from cash and the bank. I gave him 100, he bought an item from the vendor priced at 100 and it went into my bank. I tipped him 100 to his bank, he bought another 100-price item, and it went into my bank.
