And I was wondering if it was true. I've heard from multiple people now that if I put a lot of items on my vendor for 1cr each, and have a second character buy them that I'll gain massive amounts of Merchant xp. Is this true? I only lack about 55k merchant XP now to master and would love to hurry it along.

If you set a 1 credit access fee and have the second character go in and pay that every 15 minutes and buy 1 item from vendor, yeah it works that way... But not all on one view of vendor...

You do not get merchant xp from the purchase. Merchant xp from the vendors is from viewing it and from them existing. See the nice Merchant Guide stickied in this forum. It starts off discussing xp.
