fastest ways are to set up vendor(s) stock some stuff on it, and tell all your friends to come refresh the vendor so you get xp... also you can put a 1 credit access fee on the building your vendor is in and this also will help generate merch xp as soon as you can i would work your way up management tree under merchant... cause the more vendors you have the more that can be refreshed so the more merch xp you will get hope this helps

So you get NO experience for aselling something? What is the justification behind this?

And I have been told I can get merchant experience by placing items on my vendor and taking them back off, but I have found this to be an 'inconsistant truth'. Sometimes that seems to be the case, other times, I get no experience at all, so I have assumed that placing items on a vendor or taking them off only activates the experience per vendor per hour I already earned anyways.

An additional question... if I group with a pet or droid and leave them in my house, does that keep my vendors active for the experience?

Ok to clear things up in order to see what a vendor has for sale, a customer must refresh the vendor (target it, click on it and hit refresh or a category listed on the left ) upon refreshing it, the vendor lists the goods that are available to purchase for whoever is looking and for what category they have chosen... so since the vendor has been refreshed nowthe merchant has now received merchant xp... as far as i know and what i have read there is no added (extra xp for a sale) ... so i a sense yes you get experience for taking things on and off your vendor cause you are refreshing it... but you do not need to withdraw sales and repost them ... you just need to refresh the vendor ( refresh tab at bottom of vendor menu) and it works just the same way....

your last comment I am not sure what you mean by active other than the vendors being "there" and not ghosting til the next person comes within their range when the reappear... when I was earning merch xp, it did not matter if i was near them or even in game ...if players passed by my vendor they would load in... and if they clicked on them to see what i had i would get merch xp... and when i next logged in i would see my merchant xp go up in accordance to how often my vendor(s) were visited... the onlyreason that you really need to have someone go run by and, make the vendors load in, would be as soon after a server reset as possible, cause they will not appear on the planet map ( registered vendors) until a loyal customer, yourself, or someone passing by activates the vendors ( makes them load in) by coming with in range of them ... only after this will your vendor now appear on planet map as advertisement ( again as long as you have chosen for the vendor(s) to be registered)

also because the merch xp cap is per vendor per the time limit... the more vendors you have that can be targeted and refreshed to see what is for sale the faster and more merch xp you will gain .... hope this helps
