I know this is on the bug list but I am so sick and tired of getting these emails
. I spend hours putting items back on my vendor each month. I also get tired of cleaning out the 100s of emails each time they come in and if I am really lucky I get to be online when they spam me right out fo the game due to the lag generated. My dial up cant even handle it
I have 100s of items on my vendor. Once I was a dedicated merchant but now days I refuse to stock only items that are ordered. I have even thought about deleting all the unsold items altogether just to get rid of them.
I am curious, why do we even have a time limit on our vendor merchandise? I can see why we do on the bazaar. On your vendor you pay maintenance. In other games I played this would have been due to a data storage issue or inactive players leaving unwanted vendors littering the world. I find it hard to believe either of these issues caused a time issue on items sold. Is there any ETA on this being changed?! I know several that have given up on crafting completely due to this one issue. Why make the game more work than it needs to be.

We will need it soon when empty vendors are removed from the map though. Personally I don't mind, it gives me an idea of what sells and what doesn't. And 30 days is still so much better than 7 days as it used to be.

I don't mind the unsuccessful email when the item times out. Howver I hate the ones that come when I pull an item off the vendor myself. I mean really, why do I need an email notification of something I just pulled myself?

30 days is much better than 7 days, but 90 days or no limit would be even better. If we have to relist things every 30 days, it would be nice if there was an easier way to do it - like maybe the ability to multi-select in the stockroomand hit a button that relists the objects for the same price they were offered at before.
Why do you get an email to notify you that you have delisted something from your vendor, but you don't get an email to tell you that someone has offered something to your vendor? Or to tell you that your vendor is out of maintenance?
(Or to tell you when your harvester stops, for whatever of the several possible reasons?)

I think the item emails when the auction expires are important because you only have a few days to return that stuff to the for sale before it goes away. I think the emails when you withdraw items are just stupid you just removed it..how much more notice do you need than the interface you are already looking at.

Just because something is better does not make it good. I can give you analogies from real life but I'm sure you have lived this yourself. I have vendors with about 3000 items. I moved my vendors at one time so now I get a good majority of these items going unsuccessful each month. Can you imagine deleting almost 1000 emails every month and then restocking these items? I guess I could be like every other merchant and just not stock so you come to an empty vendor. I submitted an idea in the tailor forum that would help tailors keep a small stock in their vendors while still giving a full array of selection on colors. If something doesn't change I'm going to join the rank of nonstocking vendors and delete the majority of the items. I've even thought about dropping tailor altogether. I know there are other merchants that feel the same way. I guess they just don't post here.
