I'm sorry, I realize this has probably be asked a million times, but I am pretty new to merchant, and I did searched, just wanted to make sure that a work around hasn't been found recently that I missed somehow.
Like a dufus, I didn't do my research before dressing my vendors after getting Hiring IV and now I have a glove dilema. I put a pair of long uniform gloves on my vendor and now I can't figure out a way of getting them off. Tried putting wookiee arm wraps on her and she gave me the schpeal about them being for wookiees. Don't know what to try next or if there is any point in even trying.
I also put a Wookiee Sage's Hood on my wookiee vendor, will I not be able to make him bare-headed ever again? Not even if I try to put a non-wookiee hat on him?
I can't believe the narrow scope they have given merchants in the way of customizing vendors. It's a travesty. I didn't know until recently that even at Master we are expected to either make do with the same old ridiculous looking vendors, or do like I did last night and go through a 1000 of them finding one that is just "acceptable". I'm sorry but as a Tailor I really can't afford to make do with a rather rotund, flat-chested, puke green female twi'lek with bright orange eyebrows and lime green lips. Not unless I decide to start stocking a maternity line for the color-blind. *rolleyes*
I am fine with not being able to get the items back, no big deal. I would be MORE than happy with a "Remove All Clothing" option. Of course, not leaving them nude (god forbid), but converting it back to their default clothing maybe.
Anyway, any work-around or further information (to keep me from doing something else stupid) would be greatly appreciated.:-)

As far as I know, you must add clothing that is compatible to the species you are clothing, but is not compatible to the type of clothing you are trying to get rid of. Unfortunately, I cant think of any clothing that allows you to get rid of gloves.

I know it can be done, because I've done it to myself...I have this same problem with one of my vendors. When I get around to redressing my vendors, I'll let you know.

I would very much appreciate that, Aylla. I would just HATE to have to try and make a new vendor (even though I don't have any items for sale on her yet). She may not be what one might call "curvaceous", but the EYEBROWS! Not only are they lovely shaped but they match her deep brown lips perfectly .*weeps*
Sorry for all the drama. :-) But did you really expect anything different from a MT/MID? /wink

My husband is a genius!!!
I still would have no idea how to do this on a male (might work anyway, haven't tried it yet) but on a female, to remove gloves you can drag a luxurious gown onto her (it has fingerless glove thingies, grandball gown will not work however)!!
(we really ought to create a sticky or something with workarounds to everything)

a cheaper way to remove gloves would be put on a jacket that's not compatible with the long gloves. if you have short gloves, you can replace them with long gloves, then put on the jacket.
as for the wookiee hood, you need the wookie armor that has the attached helmet. then when you replace the armor, the head should be bare again.

If I do this, will the wookiee armor be destroyed?? I assume so. Isn't that rather costly?
For the gloves, do you perhaps know a jacket that isn't compatible? I had a grand ball gown on her (which has the long unattached sleeves) and the sleeves just covered the top part of the gloves so I assumed that would occur on all the long sleeved clothing that didn't cover the hands. Guess another example of what assuming will do.

yeah... you loose the wookie armor. :-(
jackets take the same spot as the long gloves. so one will wipe out the other.

I'm trying to get a pack off (don't ask how it got there in the first place, I'm just talented) and the only thing I can think to do is give the vendor a bandolier, but then how would I get that off? Maybe I'll just leave the pack where it is

lol a vendor with a backpack!.
i dno if its possible to drag an item while the radial menu is up, but perhaps u could drag the bandolier onto the vendor while having the radial menu up and click delete as u are dropping the item? maybe if u timed it right it owuld remove the backpack then be destroyed hehe i dno, cant think of anything else really
