Okay, I really didn't know a better way to word it but here we go...
I would like to set up several human "figures" in my house, for RP type purposes...Now, do they have to be vendors? Or can I buy something, to put clothes on to put in my house that looks like a human, but not a vendor....?
Its difficult to explain, is the only way to put 'human like figures' in my house is to make them vendors....?
thanks

Yes. There are no other NPC's or mannequins that can be placed. They will have to be vendors and you will have to maintain the appropriate merchant skill to keep them.

I am also a novice tailor (on my alt), and on the tailor forums this has been brought up as well. Maybe make them crafted by architects (furniture) with components made by tailors and/or master artisans. Tailors would certainly buy these by the factory crates. I'm sure other non-crafting players would as well. For human-like races they should require a leathery hide (for the skin) and for wookies obviously wooly hide. Also, the mannequin should be renameable, just like wearable containers. Only thing truly troublesome about this would be the naming restrictions (TK-101 anybody). Just my 2creds.
