In my guide book it talks about being able to hire an NPC in a city to advertise my shop. I don't seem to find that skill in game. Does it exist? How do I get it? How do I use it?

You are right, it does say that, and they lied to you (shame on them!!)

You can not, you maybe could at one time, but no more.

I don't know that it ever made it in. They announced it was going to be in the game, then it wasn't. I think fears of increased lag and city spam made them rethink it before it ever made it to a live server.

so why dont you just name a probot something like " Great-Furniture_1020_-1020" or something like that? and set some patrol points.. wether he be circling the cantina or making the rounds in a shuttle/space port, he's still getting the word out. i suggest cantina, alot of people sitting in there all the time. sure, this system has flaws but it beats running around /yelling all day.

I don't think you can use numbers in droid names... that I'll have to check, but it would really put a crimp in that idea...
