If it's what I'm thinking you're talking about.. that's a bug. A widely reviled one at that.

Or it's the sign options you get with Management. If you mean signs hanging floating away form the house, that's a very irritating bug. But if you mean the signs that appear on the porch of the house, that's an option you get with the Management tree.

If you have the Management skill tree it's accessed from your structure management terminal. Just below Create Vendor.

I re-read your post, I think she was indeed referring to the movement of the signs and not the bugged floating signs.

Well.. it seems I've seen them on the ground, in front of houses.... Don't recall them floating however...

I'm also curious about the tabbing, as I've tried the 01 thing too and it didn't work for me. Anyone?

write it in your notepad in game with /note then make sure your copy/paste keys are bound to something and then just copy and paste it

however, when I want to use the colors in my house title, I have to copy/paste it out side of the game because the hex coding causes the words in the notepad to change colors and not transfer over (big big headache .. alot easier to copy it outside of game)

I've never really had trouble in game creating color and changing signs. I actually color my backpacks like that also. Open up your sign and type what you want for the first line with the color for the rest of the lines. (this works if you want your entire sign the same color). Cut that entire line and post it either into the /notepad or I love posting into the NEW MACRO box. At the end of the first line just press enter and start typing a bunch of new lines just like you want it to appear on your sign. NOTE: The /######## will be missing, but your text will actually be the color. Just make sure you highlight the entire NEW MACRO box when you are done and then click the sign box and PASTE it. All you will see is the last line, and don't press up or anything, just press OK. Your sign will update. If you need to make any changes, just open the sign box again, and without pressing any buttons, hit your key for CUT(or copy).... PASTE it into the notepad or NEW MACRO box and edit some more. Delete the sign box, and repaste your new sign name into the SIGN CHANGE NAME box and press OK. Rinse and Repeat. Doing it this way, you never have to alt-tab, and you never have to really mess with the numbers once you have your colors in. See http://www.cox-internet.com/sektorm/ to see how the sign comes out.
