If you set up a vendor (or multiple ones) and then dropped merchant, will you be able to keep them after the Devs fix this? Kinda like pre-nerf pets and such, it wouldn't really be fair to destroy them, would it?

Isn't that kinda the whole purpose for the devs to fix this? So you can't do it anymore?? Of course it's fair! Maybe let you withdraw all the items for sale first before destroying the vendor, but sure as hell shouldn't let you keep putting up more things for sale on those vendors.

I have heard they will just become non-functional. I think that would be the fair process. Allow you to withdraw the items, but no onecan buy then possibly delete them in the following patch.

I agree with this. The vendors would no longer work (sell/list), except for allowing retrieval. Actually, I would not mind them being able to sell for one last month, but no restocking. This would allow the non-merchants a chance to sell off a lot of stock before the vendor goes *poof*. One month is enough time for non-merchants to remove, sell and/or store all goods.
I know there will be complaints by the nonmerchant crowd who were utuilizing vendors without the skill point outlay.

I'll miss my delivery vendor - but I could live with this change. I have one vendor in this position - and 99% of the time she stands there totally empty - I have her hidden in the basement just for delivery of specific orders. It's far easier to find an ordered item among a few - and it's also less likely tucked away in the basement to get sold before the customer that ordered it gets there.
We REALLY need this functionality builtin to all vendors.
