Thread: Just thought of why the nerf.

Ok. So it dawned on my why they are doing the nerf. They created a problem that got out of control, because they ignored it for so long, and now are trying to fix it.


If you get merchant skills. You can put vendors up. If you give up those merchant skills, you can still have vendors.


Solution would be a systematic deletion of all vendors who's owner doesn't have merchant skills and keep everything else as is. Result would be a revolt and B and M session with lots of trouble tickets.


So the new solution would be based on the vendor. Empty vendor for 2 weeks. Delete. Nice and easy.


To complete the fix. The # of items per vendor is instituted. So if you have no merchant skills, no items. merchant one, then you get so many items. master merchant, this many items. So in time, those that don't have merchant skills will eventually not be able to post any more items on their vendors, which in time will cause them to go empty, which in time will cause their deletion. The devs then fixed the problem that they created.


The overall solution is ok, but the vendor amounts is what is causing the most problems. What they should do is a adjusting the vendor limits. So at artisan, you get 25 items per vendor. (equal to the bazaar.) Merchant 1, you get 50 items per. Merchant 2, you get 100 items per. Merchant 3 you get 200 items per. merchant 4 you get 400 items per. Master Merchant, unlimited per.


I think that that is a reasonable solution.
