Thread: Biggest Nerf Ever?

For arguements sake I'll assume those are the final numbers. I would assume doc has argued for weeks on the numbers and done everything possibly up to the moment they went on TC.


A merchant is supposed to be the profession all crafters go through to sell their products. They should have the option of buying from many people and selling everything. Its sad that to fix the unlimited storage, they have to come up with one of the biggest nerfs to hurt the core aspect of a profession. Hopefully these are just starting values and they will change. If not, the devs have really no grasp on the current economy of the game.


The only change close to this magnitude I can remember is the CH changes. I challenge anyone to find 2 people with a CH title in one night.



At least it looks like they can save a little room in the UI now as the next items button becomes worthless.

At least CH only hurt one overpopulated profession

This will effect Artisans, Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Doctor, Miners, Looters, Tailors, ect ect
I wish the devs would just take one month of game play and try to run a successful crafting profession business and see what a pain in the rear end this is going to be. I'd be a little less peeved if they would up the resource container limit to more than 100k but we don't even get a nibble of anything good.

Sure Empty Vendors disapear from the world map but when you only have 100 items on that vendor because of the cap can you imagine how often your vendor is going to be empty now

You're gonna have to have 6 fully stocked vendors to be able to sell cookies effectively.

Until later this afternoon when you have to come back and do a full restock because they're all sold out.

Oh, and be sure to come back for your overnight restock so that the breakfast crowd can empty your vendors too.

hmmmm...110 items per vendor nerf vs.pre-combat revampcreatures' stats nerf...too close to call. I started another thread to discuss the similarities, and hopefully find ways to prevent this type of profession breaking nerf.


Is it wrong that people want "master" to mean something more than dabbler? It seems the devs can make that happen, but only if they destroy the entire profession in the process...what gives?

In my opinion, this will affect all profesions.


1) Resources will be harder to get. Think about all the resource vendors out there. Not only will they have to limit the number of different resources listed, but they will be forced to sell in bulk. Lately I've been buying more resources than I harvest. Mostly because I'm running 3 equipment factories and 1 structure factory (5 lots right there). If I can't find the resources I need, I can't craft.


2) Lots of crafters will either quit or change profesions. So weapons, armor, etc will be in short supply. Not only will we have less crafters, but their vendors will sell out quickly. Supply and demand...things willbe expensive IF you can find it.
