Mr. Gordon Walton,

It was with great interest that I read your letter to the community. I enjoyed reading you letter, as you seem to have a depth of knowledge regarding online gaming. However I would like to quote the last paragraph of your letter.

"I can guarantee you that I take my role as a steward of your play experience seriously, and I and the entire team will continue to work hard to improve your experience.

Thanks for playing!

Sony Online Entertainment "

You have stated that you are the steward of my (our) playing experience,I would very much like for you to review and if possible comment on the issuebeing discussed here, namely the imposing of, what appears to many in this community as, draconian item limitsupon unsuspecting merchants. Most of us have no issue with the remainder of the changes, as they are currently running or proposed on TC.

Further I would likeyou to review the previous thread discussing this matter, I would link to it, however it appears that it has been deleted again. Please note that this previous thread was deleted and then when it was reinstated it was locked. This thread contained its share of hostility (yes, some of it was mine) however there were also a great number of good suggestions as well.

In future, if it is within your power I would suggest giving the community a little credit and explaining the reason behind what appear to be drastic changes to this game. I'm my experience SOE has a horrible track record with responding to player feed back as well as customer service. If this is also within you area of responsibility your attention to this issue would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Kai Mackey

Please note: This letter was also posted on page 9 of the Merchant Item Limits Focus Thread: Please try to be constructive and rational (Pt 2) thread.

Proof reading before sending this would have been a good idea. I highlighted the glaring parts. BUt the run-on sentences are an issue. Just saying this beuz, when you try to communicate in a professional manner, grammar and spelling are gonna get you heard.

Dear Mr. Proof Reader:

Just an observation that "beuz" is not a word.

ROFL however is a time honored acronym.

Great Letter, I whole heartedly agree. I would also stress the importance of Communication in regards to the relationship dev elopers and SOE higher ups have with the player community as well as with the members of these message boards. The Continuous reinforcing of a lack of communication between the developers and the board members has done incredibly apalling things to the state of the game, the trust of the players, and our ability to take what you are saying as truth. Personally I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, but unfortuantly I think we all are starting to feel like we're getting the same old song and dance when someone up the food chain decides they dont want to deal with the board posters ideas / criticisms / commentary.

This being the case I would like to personally challenge you Mr.Walton, to step forward, offer the community a detailedexplanation as to the exact reasons why this potential Merchant Revamp is going into play, and genuinely show that you want to work with us to create a better and more enjoyable game.

There are scores of us who want to be with you, unfortunately the lack of communication on the part of people like Q-3P0 and Thunderheart has soured our ability to believe what you are trying to tell us. I'm sure there are thousands of players who are more than willing to workwith people like yourself and the developers to achieve your goals. You have a wonderful resource here on the boards, why not utilize it?

Thank you,
