ive got a really dumb question here, but if im a merchant, whats wrong with keeping a storage vendor? i have one , hidden away from the world, not registered on the map either. Ive seen a couple times, ppl not like storage vendors here, and i just want to see what i was doing wrong. As a merchant dont i have the right to have a vendor wherever i want? and dont i have the right to charge whatever i want for something? if someone wants to come by and buy it cool, go for it,, if not then ill hang onto it for a while longer. Im a chef along with artisan/ merchant so you can understand the resources i keep and i also have a few factories. plus, i have to keep a few lots open for some harvs,, plus i have a tent. So im totally out of storage space. Anyway,, i just wanted to get a few takes on this

well, i dont see a problem with storing items on my own vendor, which i have the skills for. I kept merchant, because i play honestly. If anyone else in this game wants to use a vendor for storage, let em grind up merchant and gain the skills to do so. I dont know how this problem can be handed off as the players fault when the devs wrote it this way. They really need to do something called: planning ahead. Noone here can make me believe that SOE could not have seen this earlier down the road, if they didnt, then someone needs to be fired. I will keep master merchant, and i will continue to store items on my vendor, because to date I dont think i have ever exceeded 600 items on my vendors.

It seems to me that if you've paid for the ability to have a vendor and you want to use it for storage, more power to you.

The issue comes with people who don't have the skill but still have the vendor.

I see nothing wrong with using a vendor as storage if you have paid the points to have those vendors thus you have paid the points to "hold" whether its for sale or not, that number of items...

I'm just waiting for the cross-lot vendor trades for storage ... though that would work FAR better if you didn't need the owner about.
