Hurricane Charley ripped through Orlando, Florida at 9:15pm Friday night leaving a path of destruction in it's wake.
Most of Orlando is still without power and some are still without water. Shortages of gas, food and water exist. There is no ice to be found.
Estimates from the power company being given are 5 to 14 days for power restoral. Our company is working off generators in a sweltering office building and may be flying several hundred employees to another office in Illinois if power isn't restored. We've been told to bring packed bags to work tomorrow.
Pretty much sucks down here.
I have no idea when I'll be able to log in to SWG. But I know what I'll find when I do. Empty vendors that have destroyed about 20 million credits worth of items due to expired 7 days in the stockroom. Wookiee orbs, 3 full sets of anniv paintings.. various other paintings and valuables etc.
I could file a useless ticket to which I'm sure the response will be, 'Sorry, but we cannot assist. Please close this ticket."
SOE is sooooo compassionate.
My other option is to give my passwords to another player, but even though I 'trust' this player, how much does one really know about them? I've become quite attached to my credits.
Some choice.
I hope SOE will do the right thing and assist with restoral of deleted items as this truly is an unavoidable situation, but i doubt they will.
SOE is about to flush 20M credits worth of stuff down my stockroom toilet and I don't even have toilet paper to wipe.
The 7 day deletion timer has got to go.

Obviously the only official SOE response will be the usual, none.
Customer Service at its finest! Yeah sure.

Hmmm
I lost a fab with res for more than 20 millions due to moving....
Yes, they will not reimburse.
However, the last few tickets were closed. They replied, and they asked me something, but they closed it....great.
