Thread: Time for some Merchant Upgrades

I'm sure my thoughts are nothing new but here they are anyhow:
Allow a merchant to distribute 'gift certificates' in email form.
Allow a merchant to place and entire vendor on sale. For example you can enable an option to place a vendor stock %20 off.
Allow a merchant to charge lower proces for selected guilds or factions, etc..

Along with that, it shouldn't be hard to also change the system so that bazaar auction slots (should be very limited) and vendor offer slots (should be unlimited)are not on the same counter. At least I know it's annoying that my guildies can only offer so much to the vendors at a time.
I really like the idea of being able to set a price variance based on guild/faction. Been hoping for something like that for ages. Don't see it happening until we can at least ban guilds/factions from the structures the vendors are in.
Not sure what to think about the "gift certificates". Need more explanation of your idea there.

I think he meansdiscounts for specific players, that would apply to anything listed on the vendor. Just a guess though.

Don't get your hopes up. If you scroll back to the very beginning of the merchant forum and look at the merchant wishlists, they're almost identical to today's wishlist. The biggest differences are that they've coded new bugs into merchant that we'd like to have removed. 2 years from now, the only difference will be the new bugs that they've coded into merchant. And maybe asking for a skill to be added to the merchant profession (they'll have removed all skills from merchant by then). Even simple requests like a restock button go unanswered for years. Actual features are way to much to ask for this profession...
