I figure I'd post this here since merchant is one key profession under the new trader profession.

I've gotten over my shock at who badly gutted this game will be very shortly, and am planning on reopenning my main account and grinding out afew crafting profession b4 the WoW publish...

My thoughts are this. Only viable money makers with a steady income will be supplying the few rare items thay will still be cunsumables in the game. Ammo, grenaids, foods, customization kits, Powerups, Battires.. You know small stuff..

Reading over what players whov'e managed to get on the TC and test out the Trader profession some its this..

Munitions: Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Artisan, Merchant.. = Could sell Ammon, afew Artisan items long term steady income till market is flooded..

Domestics: Chef, Tailor, Artisan, Merchant... = Foods, afew Artisan items.. Probly a more steady income...

Structures: Architect, Artisan, Merchant... = Not sure if this will be as effected as the other crafting professions since they never had to worry about the decay issue to start with... Well not on furiture and whatnot.. Could be agood choice on my server not alot of Architects around anyways..

Engineering: Shipwright, Droid Engineer, Artisan, Merchant... = If Sapce comabt don't change to badly I might settle into this one. Could sell Ammo still for ships, And probly some odd ball droid items. Don't see it as a big money maker but high on fun factor at least for this Space Jockey...

Honestly money probly in the Ammon market.. Unless ammo becomes a major drop in loots then I see no use for Tradesmen at all in the economy.. Guess I'll wait and see...

I am not sure how we will turn out

I do disagree with only 'crafters' getting Vendor skills, as i always thought combat had every right to sell items as us.

But after two yrs playing, man, it's anyones game.

you can always create and fill a niche, I mean we created professions that were not even ingame, sure we can handle this.

trader = alternate account.

I can't imagine many people will play only a trader in this game. I imagine 90% of the traders will also have an alternate account to actually play the game.

I could be wrong of course - this is just a guess.

Thus sayeth Dimear

I play currently as master artisan, master merchant and master doctor. also master politician.

I never craft as i only need the reduced fees and the vendors to sell the resources i harvest to help pay for our city.

Will i be able to respec to master tailer etc as merchant is now in with one of the crafting classes.

I see on the skill sheets that you need to master the new professions to gain all the vendors.

My question is i have no wish to be any crafting profession, we haveenough of each in the city as it is, but i need maximum vendors.

Is master merchant.master artisan enough to respec with or am i now being forced to craft goods i do not wish to just to progress up the new skill tree to get the additional vendors

Thanks in advance

Ziso
