Hello all. If you know me, you understand that I am very inquisitive about this game because I have only been playing for a bout 2 weeks and am trying to learn the ins and the outs of the game.

I have been having trouble figuring out what to craft that is worth crafting. I started crafting shoes just to get Business 1 and would destroy them later to clear space, since I felt that they probably wouldn't sell well. Was I right or wrong? At any rate, I am making this thread to give novice merchants and idea of what kind of items are useful to other players and worth crafting, due to the fact that it is marketable and raises your skill well. I found that the cloth shoes I was making would give me 40xp a pop and it was very time consuming. I figure if I am going to spend that much time crafting that I might as well make something that would be useful to someone (like the barrels or grips which add to damage and range on your gun).

If anyone has a plethora of time please provide the following for other people's learning experiences:

-What item is worth crafting-

-What items are needed to create the aformentioned item (like crafting tools, resources, etc)-

-What level of Artisan the skill applies to-

-Basic market value of the item if using 60-100% resources (list them individually in incriments of 10%)-

-How much xp the crafted item yields to the crafter-

If a few, or many could take the time to share their thoughts regarding this matter, it would be greatly appreciated, and you would be providing information to newbies publicly. I thank you ahead of time for your anticipated involvement in this thread and for the information you provided or added to the discussion herein.

You dont necessarly have to just craft your own things either. Ask around and see ifsome of those people/shout selling in the middle of coronet might not want to work out a re-sale deal with you.

On the other side, powerups are pretty handy. And a 4/4/0/0 artisian can make them as well as a master weaponsmith can. You just need to gethigh quality materials.

Well first of all, you need to have a goal to work toward. Not just a mechanical goal, an in game goal. "I wanna corner this market." "I wanna open a cantina." Find out what appeals to you. If you don't know just make a little of every thing, look ahead at the other elite crafting professions and decide what makes you happy. In the interim, just put down a TON of harvestors and a factory or three and sell the heck outta some resources for some start up capital. Then make crates of whatever item you're starting out with (say 1 schematic worth of several item) and see what sells best.
