Hi -

A friend recently placed me on admin on his merchant tent. I have a vendor in place and i (as an admin) added a door fee. Am I getting xp from the door fee? Or is he. I'm not sure because of lag in the arrival of the xp but it seems that I don't get the xp, though i can't tell for sure.

Furia, Kavala, Xana, Tarantella (Xana's alt, before NGE), all cancelled.(3 accts total)

You have to be the owner of the structure to get xp on an access fee.

Before I was a master I would put access fees on my other Toon's house and i would get the xp from it, I do think the cash also,not sure on the cash thing.

I think you are mistaken about that. The owner of the house has always gotten both the cash and the Merchant XP for an entry fee as far as I can remember.
