Wouldn't it be so much easier if merchants could function as vendors? Like you can select browse inventory from the radial menu and just see what stuff he's selling, just like a vendor, only this one is a living player who can just stand anywhere and open up his vendor. Or maybe he pop's out a little booth with stuff, i dunno, but it would be so much better then walking miles and miles to get to someone's vendor...

Anyway, your thoughts?

The problem with this is that it would devastate the shop economy, player cities, etc. Not to mention making what's already a laggy area unplayable. You'd have 200 AFK merchant mules sitting outside the coronet startport 24/7.

A word about mobile vendors. It is my understanding that it isn't possible to have a moving object connected into the vendor/bazaar database system....that it MIGHT be possible to do it so it LOOKED like it was but really was just connected to some other statically placed vendor.

What does this mean? It means that droids and other mobile ideas are a technical challenge and will take time to get into the game.
